My Strength and My Song

“The Lord is my strength and my shield;
    my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
    and with my song I praise him” (Psalm 28:7, NIV).

It’s been cloudy all day! The rain can’t seem to make up it’s mind–a sprinkle or mist off and on. Just enough to be depressing. It is a nagging reminder that the heavier rains are yet to come.

But I learned a new song in church this morning that will hopefully help me with future despair. When the heavy Costa Rica rains hit later in September, and especially October, I’ll have something to help. Roughly translated, the song says: “It rains, come rain on me. I want to be in the water of Your presence. And refresh inside of You. I’ve been thirsty and just longing my fill of You.”

Llueve

Llueve, ven llueve sobre mi

Quiero estar en las aguas

De tu presencia

Y refrescarme  dentro de ti

He venido sediento

Y tan solo anhelo

Saciarme de ti
