“The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him” (Psalm 28:7, NIV).
But I learned a new song in church this morning that will hopefully help me with future despair. When the heavy Costa Rica rains hit later in September, and especially October, I’ll have something to help. Roughly translated, the song says: “It rains, come rain on me. I want to be in the water of Your presence. And refresh inside of You. I’ve been thirsty and just longing my fill of You.”
Llueve, ven llueve sobre mi
Quiero estar en las aguas
De tu presencia
Y refrescarme dentro de ti
He venido sediento
Y tan solo anhelo
Saciarme de ti
