Day of the Child

Children's Day in Costa Rica

Costa Rica chose September 9th to celebrate “The Day of the Child.” The children have to attend a shortened day of school. It is traditional that the parents give their children candy and small gifts.

The first question David and Stephanie had was, “Are we going to participate in this holiday?” Yes, we will celebrate “Dia del Nino.”

Next Wednesday is Costa Rica’s Independence Day. We are looking forward to the parade. It is neat to see all of the flags and decorations on display. We will also try to include some video.

Happy Children’s Day.
